15/14 Hero Fencing Shoes

The AZZA 15/14 Hero is the model worn through hundreds of training hours by athletes preparing for the highest stage of the sport. Also called fencing trainers in the UK, the Hero couples competition-grade construction with the daily-use durability club fencers rely on. At the foundation, an A-Nylon tech plate translates leg drive into immediate forward propulsion. Dual-density cushioning absorbs the punishment of repeated landings, sparing knees, ankles, and the Achilles over long sessions. A directional traction outsole holds the metallic piste cleanly, and an ergonomic heel wrap with reinforced lateral support stabilises the foot through aggressive movement. The breathable mesh upper and padded interior keep heat down across hours of work. A recycled EVA midsole paired with waterbased PU lowers the build's environmental cost without trading away the structure the shoe needs. Azza Sports was founded by Olympic fencer Azza Besbes and develops each model in tandem with high-level fencers, with overuse-injury prevention treated as a design requirement rather than an afterthought. The Hero is built for adult fencers, men and women, EU 36-47, and works across foil, épée, and sabre.
