Costumes Parisiens colouring book

The Journal des Dames et des Modes was a limited-edition fashion magazine published in Paris between 1912 and the outbreak of WWI. Artists were commissioned to provide stylish illustrations for each issue. These fashion plates were produced using a stencil technique (pochoir) which suited the simple lines and vivid colours of contemporary trends. Chester Beatty’s second wife, Edith Dunn Stone contributed to acquire this fashion magazine.
