Clark & Co’s Anchor Sewing Cottons 2-Drawer Country Store Spool Cabinet c.1880-1900

A wonderful antique country store spool/thread cabinet from Clark & Co., Paisley, Scotland — makers of the celebrated Anchor thread brand — dating to the late Victorian period, circa 1880–1900. A rare American survivor of the British Clark & Co. mercantile line, as distinct from the more commonly found American Clark’s O.N.T. cabinets. Good antique/primitive condition. Heavy surface wear and patina consistent with decades of retail counter use — authentic character, not damage. All original hardware present. Stenciling on lid and drawers intact.
