Kantha Delicate Necklace

The beads for this jewelry are made from Kantha quilts which are a traditional textile in abundance in India. Handmade by women artisans who are working to improve thier lives through fair trade. The artists wrap scraps of the Kantha fabric around wooden beads. The wood for the beads come from scraps of wood left over from making furniture at a local factory. 18" long plus a 2 1/2" extender.
