Birches

Birch trees have bark which reminds me of peeling paper. They are silver and magical and I like to ponder what could be written on the pages of a birch tree bark skin. It is said birch trees were favored by druids. People often depict Birch Trees from a distance. Not so many people take the time to zoom in and try and capture the myriad silvers, blacks, whites, yellow, blue, and more. Yet the close up is painted on a large scale painting so there is a juxtaposition of a small close in view on monumental scale canvas. Acrylic Painting 30”X40”X1.25” Prints available upon request.
