Andromeda Puzzle - Black

The Craighill Andromeda is a puzzle that defies easy description, which is fitting, because it also defies easy solution. A reimagining of the classic six-piece burr puzzle, its six identical heat-forged aluminum components interlock to form a structure that is neither sphere nor polyhedron but something altogether more interesting. The anodized black finish and near-fractal surface suggest movement even when sitting perfectly still, and as you turn it in your hands, subtle spirals and shifting symmetries reveal themselves (or they don't) and the solution feels further away than ever.
