This Victorian-era caduceus brooch, circa 1900, is crafted in silver and 18kt yellow gold with a vertical bar pin and articulated hook, plus a hoop to the wing. An oval old cut sapphire of approximately 0.25 carats sits at the center, accented by 28 rose cut diamonds totaling about 0.28 carats across the wings and snake heads. The snakes’ eyes are set with four cabochon rubies totaling approximately 0.04 carats, complemented by two natural beaded pearls at the top and bottom. One snake features green enamel detailing and the other red enamel work along the upper section; total weight is 7.80 grams.
