"This publication accompanies the exhibition “Deeper, Sharper, More Dangerous, and Irresistibly Beautiful. Something Not Ordinary,” held from September 6 to October 11, 2025. The book features approximately 30 recent works, centering on images produced this year, and reflects Matsuoka’s photographic vision with greater clarity and intensity. Matsuoka is known for his work within the lineage of snapshot-based personal photography. Shot with his long-used film camera, the Olympus μ (mju), his images are characterized by softly unified color tones and a distinctive sense of suspension.
