Vintage Ceramic Drippy Table Lamp

A vintage ceramic urn lamp with twin loop handles and a dark glaze that drips and pools over raw terracotta, stopping partway down the body where the clay takes over completely. The glaze is deep teal and near-black, with crazing across the upper body and the kind of surface variation that only happens in a kiln doing exactly what it wants to do. The contrast between the dark glazed upper half and the warm, unfinished terracotta below it is the whole thing. It looks considered without being fussy, and the white linen shade above it keeps it from getting too serious. The kind of lamp that makes a room feel like someone has been collecting for a while. The ceramic base shows honest wear consistent with age. The lamp is wired and functional. Sold as shown, base and shade together. Ready to plug in.
