Lucette, 2026
Carla Romero A Miami-based contemporary artist whose work explores emotional memory, feminine identity, and the unseen connections that exist beyond the physical world. Working primarily with acrylic on canvas, her practice blends intuitive gestures, layered textures, and symbolic color to translate internal states into visual form. Her pieces often emerge from deeply personal narratives, transforming silence, vulnerability, and inherited emotional experiences into something tangible and expressive. Romero’s work is rooted in the belief that art can act as a bridge between the internal and external, giving voice to what is felt but not always spoken. Through her practice, she seeks to create spaces for reflection, resonance, and emotional recognition. She has exhibited in Miami in spaces such as Six Summit Gallery, Aura Copeland Gallery, and ALA Projects, building a growing presence within the city’s contemporary art scene.
