Aurélien Guichard has taken Guaiac Wood oil from Paraguay and strengthened the woody density with Patchouli oil from Indonesia and Cypriol oil from India. The ambery facet is accentuated by the addition of Cabreuva oil from Brazil. Head Notes - Cabreuva Heart Notes - Cypriol Base Notes - Patchouli, Amber, Guaiac Wood Aurélien Guichard comes from a line of seven generations of perfumers. He perpetuated this family know how by becoming a perfumer at an early age and recently took over a business of rose grower in Grasse. Each of his Matiere Premiere creations reflects the respect of an oral transmission collected with great attention and tenderness. He consider perfumery as a way of life, where sense of observation, sensitivity to other and generosity are the qualities of the perfumer. His inspiration comes mainly from the exchanges with the people he meets. Aurélien Guichard is the son of the famed perfumer Jean Guichard who is the director of the Givaudan Perfumery school and an incredibly accomplished master perfumer who grew up in Grasse, where his father grew glowers for the perfume industry. Following in his fathers footsteps he has created some of the most coveted fragrances for the houses of Guerlain, Tom Ford, Narciso Rodriguez, Gucci, Nina Ricci, Comme de Garcons, to name a few.
