It keeps the 4-inch voice coil and dual-2-ohm configuration while requiring less baffle area and enclosure volume than the larger models.15-Inch — CSD154-22The middle size adds cone area without the packaging demands of an 18. It is a strong fit when output matters but the vehicle cannot realistically support the largest enclosure.18-Inch — CSD184-22The largest CSD in this group. It offers the most cone area but requires the most enclosure volume, baffle space and mounting depth. It only makes sense when the vehicle and enclosure can support it properly.Power and Voice Coil ConfigurationCiare’s current technical tables list each model as dual 2 ohm with a 4-inch voice coil. Power is published per coil as 500 watts nominal + 500 watts nominal and 1000 watts program + 1000 watts program. Keeping the per-coil notation avoids the common mistake of describing these as a single 4-ohm voice coil.Installation Notes Dual 2-ohm voice coils: calculate final impedance from the exact number of subwoofers before choosing an amplifier. Do not copy one enclosure across all three sizes. Each driver needs its own box design and target tuning. Confirm cutout, frame diameter, mounting depth and motor clearance for the selected size. High-output use requires appropriate electrical support, wiring, fusing and gain setup. Included: one selected Ciare SPL CSD subwoofer.
