1970's Air France travel poster to Britain. designed by Raymond Pages.
Produced for Air France in 1968, this is one of a collection of posters which promoted some of the airline's most popular destinations. Famous for his promotional travel posters for Air France, Raymond Pagés produced this wonderful design as part of series of 16 posters for the company's 1971 campaign. Drawing on an eclectic range of images of Britain and possibly influenced by Peter Blake's pop-art album covers, this is one of the most memorable posters in the series. Since 1933, Air France has had a long and illustrious history producing bold and eye-catching advertising campaigns. By employing notable artists, often with their own distinctive styles, they have managed to capture the romance and wonder of travel with some distinctive posters, including this one by Raymond Pagés.
