New! The Ada Donegal cardigan in navy. The same shape as the sweater with our signature natural buttons and organic cotton grosgrain trim. Our Donegal navy is a vibrant shade with characteristic flecks of light blue and terracotta. As with all of our knitwear, it's spun and knitted in the British Isles using only natural fibres, from the buttons made of corozo nuts to the cotton thread we use to sew the buttons on. Ada has a boxy fit and is slightly cropped to sit at the hip. The Donegal knit is light and airy to wear and perfect for all year around. As wool is thermoregulating, it's not too hot in Spring, but equally is warm in the cooler months. Easy to pack and just right for an English Summer evening or a breezy day at the beach. The cropped length means it works well with skirts and high waist trousers or layered over a t shirt, dress or shirt. It looks great with white for summer as it has white flecks in the nep. The Ada cardigan is knitted in the round so it has no seams and is finished by hand. This type of knitting not only produces a beautiful garment, it uses less yarn and creates less waste.
