Cotton T by My name is Necla (Nay-jla). I am a Kurdish/Guyanese, trans-masculine, bigender individual and my art has been a tool for survival for as long as I have memories. It helps me navigate the world through its embellished journaling, reclamations of power, creation of representation, and telling of truths that cannot be represented by words alone. I believe that art and queerness go hand-in-hand and that self-expression is the key to connecting with your ultimate purpose and higher self.
