Mixed Media Play — Gelli, Stamping & Collage | Sept 13th, 2026

Join me at The Mix in downtown Brunswick, Maine to play around making collage papers with gelli printing and foam stamps and then using them as part of some simple collages. The class will take place Saturday afternoon, September 13th, 2026 from 1 to 4p. This three hour class will be loosely divided into one hour sections. First, we'll create a bunch of simple shape foam stamps and use them to create a beautiful array of pattered papers. Second, we'll use acrylic paints, found objects, stencils and stamps to make a bunch of lovely, layered monoprints using gelli plates. Finally, we'll combine some of the papers we just printed with other paper and ephemera to create uniquely gorgeous collages. You will leave class with a couple finished collages as well as lots of patterned paper for making more work at home. All supplies included and tools provided, but you are welcome to bring particular supplies if you are inclined. Possible things to consider bringing: old books, paper packaging, upcycled papers of all sorts, acrylic paint in your favorite color, interesting textures or tools that you don't mind getting paint on. Cancellation Policy: Cancellations previous to two weeks before the workshop there is a 100% refund or a full credit toward a future workshop. Cancellations within two weeks of the workshop will receive a 50% refund.
