Kaliganthi Necklace
The name Kaliganthi draws from the Gujarati dodi, meaning “amulet,” and refers to a necklace composed of multiple amulets strung together. Our Kaliganthi necklace brings this tradition to life through seven tawiz pendants, each crafted in gold with intricate filigree detailing and adorned with polki/uncut diamonds, glass-filled rubies, and cultured pearls. Traditionally a part of a Gujarati bride’s trousseau, the Kaliganthi holds a deeply personal significance for us as well a version of this necklace was part of the designers’ own wedding trousseau. Reimagined through our lens, it carries forward a cherished piece of Gujarati bridal heritage while celebrating the artistry and sentiment woven into it.
