Vanilla ice cream, a fizzle of fun energy on the nose and a satisfying, oak driven palate full of blueberry, toffee, nougat, a light rootbeer and vanilla ice cream note. It’s vibrant, balanced, fruit driven and real fun. It’s dark as hell, I can’t recall if our previous Blue Note were this dark but it’s notable here in a surprising way, and explains the heavier oak and spice on this barrel to blend with the fruit and dessert than I recall in previous barrels.
