Made from beautifully aged elmwood this neat bench would have been an important part of the household. It has recently been lightly restored in an artisan workshop in Beijing revealing the true woodwork but maintaining its original look. The simple structure and use of elmwood makes this a special, attractive piece. It is an ideal hallway rest or a decorative platform to display larger plants or ornaments.
