Description The Artistry Reformer is the flagship of Peak Pilates' classical line: a handcrafted solid hardwood reformer (beech or walnut) built for daily practice in a studio or a dedicated home room. It occupies a 90" × 26" (229 × 66 cm) footprint, weighs 157 lb (71 kg), and supports users up to 300 lb (136 kg). Resistance comes from a five-spring kit, 1 heavy, 2 standard and 2 light, which can be run as a four- or five-spring setup. The four-position contoured footbar locks under load, and the rubber-dipped spring bar keeps spring changes quiet during sessions. The steel carriage carries a built-in flip mechanism, so the same base later accepts Peak's TWS or FWS tower retrofit kits or the Twin Mat system without replacing the machine. Wood risers stand in for the metal posts of older designs, keeping the strap path clean, and they retract when the machine converts to tower mode. This is a fixed, studio-grade machine, not a fold-away. Plan on roughly 10 feet of clear floor. If you need a reformer that stores upright between sessions, look at Peak's Casa home line; if you prefer a lighter contemporary metal frame, the fit or MVe lines are the better match.
