Steampunk Verdigris Crackle Quartz Pendant, Wire-Wrapped in Brass with Herkimer Diamond

This rugged pendant was made with an icy sphere of crackle quartz set in solid brass wire with an upcycled, brass watch gear, adding just a hint of steampunk style. A solitary, sparkling Herkimer diamond peeks out from a coiled whorl, just beneath the bail. The pendant was oxidized to create a deep blue, verdigris patina, then lacquered to preserve the aged finish. This piece is available with your choice of chain or cord (leather options are adjustable, 18"-20") and measures 38x22x14mm (1.5" x 0.9" x 0.6"). Herkimer diamonds are double-terminated quartz crystal from exposed outcrops of dolostone in/around Herkimer County, NY and Mohawk River Valley.
