Very rare and special Aberdeen home shirt as worn in the season 1984-1985. The texts “Scottish FA Cup 1984” and “Premier League Champions 1984” are placed above and below the club crest respectively. It’s in great condition for its age! The 1984–1985 season was another outstanding campaign for Aberdeen under manager Alex Ferguson. The Dons successfully defended their Scottish Premier Division title, finishing seven points clear of Celtic and winning the league with 59 points from 36 matches. Aberdeen also reached the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup, where they were eliminated by Dundee United after a replay, while they had an early exit in both the Scottish League Cup and European Cup. Frank McDougall was the club’s leading scorer with 24 goals in all competitions, while the team still featured key members of the great Aberdeen side built by Ferguson, including Jim Leighton, Willie Miller and Alex McLeish. It was Aberdeen’s second consecutive league title and their fourth Scottish championship, and remains the last time a club outside Celtic and Rangers won the Scottish top-flight title.
