BROOKLYN, New York. The streets of Brooklyn hold so many memories and stories, the map-drawing feels 100 layers deep. Each street and grid is home to generations past and present - from the earliest immigrants to the latest hipsters. Brooklyn is beautiful in its colliding grids, dynamic waterfronts and picturesque oases. The URBAN BURDEN Collection, is a Contemplation of the layers upon layers of a city block: soil, rock, garbage, treasures, plate tectonics, wind, water, glacial scrapes, urban design, acts of violence, acts of redemption, delight, kindness. Each block is a site of burden, accumulation of the millenia of natural forces and habitation. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Original is signed & dated by me, on lower front corners.
