Steam Deck Copper HeatShield

The CButters Tech Copper Heatshield is built for the Steam Deck LCD and Steam Deck OLED. The new heatshield replaces the aluminum one and provides easier access to the battery cable and SSD. It also improves cooling dramatically and lowers the fan speed of the device; giving you better battery life. It also adds a unique aesthetic to your modded SteamDeck. For now I've produced a limited run of the Copper Heatshield for the LCD version. If they sell out I can produce more, but there will be a new lead time. The HeatShield is explained in this video (complete installation guide at end of video): Your Kit will include: -Copper HeatShield -Three Screws for installation Add-Ons you might want to consider: I also offer new thermal pads if you wish (not required if you harvest your old pads, but I recommend installing fresh pads.) I also offer cut to size single applications of PTM7950 which is a very effective phase change thermal paste that has been shown to be very effective with the Steam Deck. Please Note that while the LCD version is completed, produced, and ready to ship; the OLED version is a preorder; in final testing and has an expected ship date of July 21st. (I'll update this date here if anything changes.) Also Please note: There are refreshed LCD versions of SteamDeck that may not work with current versions of the heatshield. (for now.) Search in settings on your device to determine if you have an early "Original" or late "Refreshed" version. Go to Steam > Settings > System. Scroll down to the Hardware section and click the Model/Serial Numbers button. Find your fan supplier and part number. "Delta BSB0505LA-00G8R" or "Taicang Huaying Electronic Materials Co. BN5010S5H-N00P" indicates you have an early "Original" version Steam Deck. This means the Copper Heatshield will fit. If your device says "Delta BSB0512MA-00JAK" or "Taicang Huaying Electronic Materials Co. BO5510S2H-000P" that indicates you have a late "Refreshed" version Steam Deck. The copper heatshield will not fit. I'll produce a new version of the heatshield for this model if I can get my hands on a refreshed LCD version. Please contact me if you are interested in temporarily sending your deck in for fitting. I will give you a free heatshield out of it and I will pay for shipping.
