Raw 'Ivory Blush' Wood Fired Ceramic Tea Cup 30ml

Handmade in Jingdezhen from Gaobaini clay (高白泥), this small tea cup is individually wood fired, allowing subtle traces of flame and ash to settle across the pale porcelain body. The high-white clay gives the cup its soft ivory base, while the firing leaves delicate blushes of peach, warm cream and tiny mineral speckles around the surface. Compared with the more dramatic wood-fired pieces, this cup is notably quiet and restrained — the variations only becoming apparent when seen up close. Its gently rounded body, small foot and lightly flared rim make it comfortable for everyday gongfu tea drinking. The pale interior also keeps the colour of the liquor clearly visible, making it particularly suited to green tea, white tea and lightly oxidised oolong. Each piece is handmade and individually wood fired, so variations in colour, ash deposits and firing marks are part of its character.
