This cross is a collaboration with Pablo F. Male clone A. It’s a pairing two standout truncata clones. The pod parent is truncata Giant, the same clone behind some of the most massive truncata I have seen in cultivation, and it is crossed with truncata A, another strong clone from Pablo's collection. Nepenthes truncata is already one of the largest species in the genus, capable of pitchers up to 40 cm tall with a broad ribbed peristome. Pairing two well grown clones of the same species like this concentrates that size and vigor rather than diluting it with a hybrid cross. Expect fast growing, robust seedlings with real potential to throw some giants of their own. Care Requirements Light — Bright indirect light. Avoid intense direct midday sun. Water — Pure water only, under 50ppm dissolved solids. Keep soil consistently moist but never waterlogged. Do not use the tray method. Soil — Loose, free draining mix of live sphagnum, perlite, or coco coir. Avoid heavy peat mixes. Temperature — Lowland to intermediate species: warm year round, 75 to 90°F days, with a slight night drop appreciated but not required. Humidity — 70 to 90% preferred.
