This is the most detailed and advanced prop so far from Damir Djanis — absolutely a collector’s dream. It’s breathtaking, and every piece is perfectly crafted. Everything works flawlessly, and there’s nothing for you to manipulate or secretly handle. But as is often the case with beautiful props, even though the effect is strong, I’m not convinced many spectators in 2026 would be truly fooled. Have you seen what an iPhone can do in 2026? Are we really meant to believe spectators won’t assume similar technology could be hidden inside a wooden box? You might get away with it if the props looked genuinely antique or otherwise ruled out electronics, but in general, nodding and clapping doesn’t mean they bought the premise. What you really want is to predict the outcome before they make their selections. If you can do that, suddenly you’re not explaining how you figured out their choices — you’re demonstrating that you knew what they would do before they did it. And even iPhones can’t do that. Unfortunately, if you allow them to choose 1, 2, or 3 slots, there are 34 different permutations, which is far too many outs. But if you simply ask them to fill all three slots in any order they like, there are just 6 permutations, which is a perfectly reasonable request. And Larry Becker’s trusty Versadex Wallet handles six outcomes effortlessly — especially if you gimmick it so you don’t need the Sharpie anymore. Only the finest hardwoods plus the exotic beauty of Black Poplar Burl, as noted below, have been used to create this breathtaking ode to the ancient and mysterious land of Egypt. The exotic woods used are Black Poplar Burl (highly prized for its beauty), the base is made of select Padauk, and the underside of the Temple is made of heat-treated ash. All the figures were applied by sublimation, and the ankhs were laser cut to ensure uniformity. A thin, clear coat was applied, after which each piece was hand waxed and polished. Now, before we go any further, please note the following: All props may be handled by the spectators as there is nothing for them to find. Each piece has been designed to be minutely inspected. There is no remote control fob, and nothing is hidden on the performer. The system is completely 100% self-contained. The performer does not need to touch any of the props other than what is necessary to explain what the spectator will be doing during the presentation. Basic presentation and Introduction: The performer regales the audience with an interesting story about the chest and how he came to own it. Then, a spectator is asked to select any one of the gods represented by three figures representing Ra, Hathor, and Anubis. He may select one-two or all three or possibly none. This is left up to his decision. This is all done while the performer has his back turned, so he is unable to see any of the selections. Upon turning around, the performer gives a short reading regarding the gods, finally revealing the location of each of the three gods. No questions are asked, and the spectator is completely free to choose or not to choose any figures. They can be placed in any of the sections within the Temple, etc. The combination of the excellent patter and beautiful props make this a highly sought-after Limited Edition collectible to be used and enjoyed.
