Underneath, it is solid hardwood construction, and what carries it is a hidden Studlock steel bracket — included with every shelf and matched to the size you order, so you never have to guess which bracket fits. Fastened properly into the studs, the bracket holds up to fifty pounds per stud, ready for a full row of hardcovers or a season of everyday display.
