Cruan – Marino Enamelled Copper Bowl (Soft White)

This Marino bowl by Sinéad O'Connor of Cruan is finished in soft white enamel, fired over a handspun copper base. Through the heat of repeated firings, the white glass draws out the copper's natural oxides — producing the deep oceanic blues and teals that move across the surface like light on water. Each firing is unrepeatable, and the result reflects the shifting tones found in waves on the shore.The copper form is handspun in Sheffield by master craftsman Warren Martin. The enamel is drawn back at the rim to reveal the raw copper beneath. This piece is entirely unique.
