A floral, fruit-forward honey process that captures the best of East Africa. This lot is produced using a traditional honey process. Fresh, carefully selected red cherries are delivered to Osolo Station, where they are de-pulped without the use of water, leaving the sticky fruit mucilage intact. The coffee is then dried on raised beds for 12–13 days, with careful turning and monitoring to ensure even drying. Othosololo's cool nights, moderate sunshine, and lush growing environment allow sugars to develop slowly during maturation, contributing to a cup with vibrant acidity, rich sweetness, and a syrupy body. The Othosololo honey lot comes from Osolo Washing Station in Guji, Ethiopia, where Daye Bensa works with around 200 smallholder farmers from the surrounding communities. The station takes its name from the Sidamic word Osolo, meaning "laughter," reflecting the joyful spirit of the people and place. Since beginning as coffee producers in 1996, Daye Bensa has become one of Ethiopia's most respected exporters, earning multiple top placements in the Cup of Excellence through their unwavering commitment to quality. We've proudly partnered with Daye Bensa since 2020, sourcing coffees from several of their washing stations across Sidama and Guji. Suggested Retail: 12oz - $34.91 2lb - $79.40 5lb - $185.00
