18k Gold & Pearl Earrings by Karl Erik Palmberg for Alton Guldvaru AB, Sweden These striking rare Modernist earrings are crafted in solid 18k gold and adorned with luminous white pearls, showcasing the clean, sculptural geometry characteristic of Scandinavian Modern design. Made by renowned Swedish jeweller Alton Guldvaru AB in 1967 and attributed to head designer Karl Erik Palmberg, their elegant linear forms and graceful curves embody timeless mid-century sophistication. Each butterfly is fully stamped with the Swedish hallmarks: 'KP' (designer/maker registered to Alton from 1946-1987), Falköping motif, '18k' (material), 'R9' (year) and the three crowns motif (Sweden). The earrings are in excellent vintage condition, with straight, well-preserved posts and their original backs intact. They each measure 37mm long.
