Region Piedmont Country Italy Type White Grape Arneis, Sauvignon Blanc & Chardonnay Style Aromatic, fresh, mineral. ABV 12.9% Closure Cork Method Organic Three grapes, one little corner of Piedmont and a very good reason to look beyond Barolo. Italy's famous red wine country has a delicious white side too. About the wine Who said Piedmont was only about big reds? In this aromatic white from the hills of Langhe, three rather different grapes have found a very happy home together. From the vineyards of Podere Ruggeri Corsini in Monforte d'Alba, this wine brings together Arneis, Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay. A little local Piedmontese tradition, a touch of French influence and plenty of Italian charm. The grapes grow at around 420 metres above sea level, on limestone-rich clay soils, and are picked by hand. Fermented at cool temperatures and aged in stainless steel, the wine keeps all its lovely fruit and freshness without any oak getting in the way. Tasting notes Tropical fruit, fragrant herbs and a refreshing mineral touch. Aromatic and beautifully balanced, with enough structure to make it far more than just a pre-dinner glass. Food pairing Grilled sea bass with lemon, garlic prawns, seafood linguine or a creamy burrata with fresh tomatoes and basil. Its aromatic freshness also makes it a brilliant match for herb-roasted chicken or a classic Italian fritto misto. About the winemaker Loredana Addari and Nicola Argamante decided they'd had enough of their jobs in the city, so they packed it all in, studied winemaking and bought a tiny vineyard in Monforte d'Alba. They upgraded the traditional estate into an eco-friendly haven by adopting lighter bottles, handpicking, solar panels and natural wastewater purification and by massively reducing the use of chemical treatments and sulphur.
