This storied carnation scent was created in 1897 exclusively for the Le Bon Marché department store in Paris, and is known for its dominant carnation note with a touch of spicy clove and powdery accents. Unused, with the original plush powder puff and its Roger & Gallet Paris ribbon, the textured inner lid, and the red-and-gold label on the base of the jar. The lot code on the jar (9082) matches the code stamped on the box. The box still has an original Marshall Field & Company department store sticker, a fun piece of American retail history. (Also searched as Ceillet Mignardise, Oeillet Mignardise.) Condition: The powder, puff, and jar are in excellent unused condition. The box shows its age, with corner wear, edge rubbing, light scuffs on the back panel, fading on the gold lettering on the front, and a small dent in the front label.
