A breather vent for cold deck flat roofs. It lets moisture vapour escape from the roof build-up, reducing the risk of condensation and trapped damp that can damage insulation, decking and timbers over time.Specification Pack size: 1 vent Size: 75mm diameter, 270mm high Colour: black Use: ventilation of cold deck flat roofs Suitable for EPDM rubber roofs and most other single-ply and multi-layer flat roofing systems How it is fitted on an EPDM roof Fix the vent through its flange into the roof deck. Lay the EPDM membrane over the vent and cut it centrally so it drops over the pipe. Prime the membrane around the pipe and let the primer flash off. Apply 9-inch uncured flashing tape around the base of the vent pipe. Roll firmly with a seam roller to finish the watertight seal. Not included: EPDM primer and 9-inch uncured flashing tape are needed to seal the vent and are sold separately.
