The Side Loaders

At the beginning of the 1960's the Isle of Man Steam Packet Company began to design a passenger/car ferry that did not need the use of linkspans, which were unavailable at the ports the Steam Packet used. The result was the revolutionary side loader Manx Maid of 1962, which was followed by three more side loaders, culminating in the legendary Lady of Mann of 1975. A5. 192 pages.
