Morikin Floral Arabesque Aochibu Oval Vase

Thousands of aochibu "blue dots" move across the surface of this oval-shaped Kutani ware vase, gathering into a continuous rhythm that seems to swirl around the vessel. Against this field of blue, morikin "raised gold" traces the arabesque patterns that wind around the form, creating shifts in texture and depth as the surface catches the light. Created by third-generation Nakada Kingyoku, the piece carries a visual language inherited from the first and second generations, expressed through its arabesque forms and dense blue field. The work is presented in a paulownia wood chest with a wooden name plaque and protective cloth.
