Kelly says: “We spent many nights camping out bush on my nana’s homelands and in communities, sleeping beneath the beautiful moonlight. When we were travelling, we would pull off the road and camp out in the bush so the family could rest. The kids would help Nana, our aunties and uncles make the fire and set up camp. We would share bush foods around the campfire before falling asleep under the beautiful moonlight. As soon as the sun rose, we were back on the road again. This artwork carries those memories of being together, camping on Country and sharing those nights with my nana and family.”
