Bunnahabhain (Staoisha) 12 Years Old 2013 Infrequent Flyers

This peated single malt was distilled in 2013 at Bunnahabhain Distillery on the Isle of Islay. Staoisha is the name given to Bunnahabhain's peated spirit, a smoky counterpart to the distillery's usual unpeated style. Matured for 12 years, it was finished in a barrel made from chinquapin oak, a lesser-seen species of American oak, adding sweet, spicy wood character to the coastal smoke. Bottled at natural cask strength, without chill-filtration or artificial colouring, by Alistair Walker for his Infrequent Flyers Collection.
