About the Made to Measure Pattern 10 Oak Door The Pattern 10 is defined by its large single glazing aperture, framed simply in oak, for a light-filled, understated look. It is supplied unglazed with oak beading so you can choose your own glass, and suits everything from period homes to contemporary builds. Handcrafted solid oak Built to order in the UK from hand-selected, responsibly sourced Grade A European oak, using traditional full mortice and tenon joints assembled with modern precision, for exceptional strength and long life. Made from 100% solid oak, the door is 44mm thick and crafted to your exact opening. Glazing The door is supplied unglazed with the oak beading needed to install your own glass, so you can specify clear, frosted or leaded glazing to suit your home. Made to Measure This is the made-to-measure version of our Pattern 10, crafted to your exact opening rather than a fixed stock size. Provide your required height and width along with any special requirements, and we will build the door to suit. If a standard size fits your opening, our stocked Pattern 10 door may reach you sooner. Finishing & Care This door arrives prefinished and ready to hang, professionally finished to bring out the oak's natural tone and grain. Like any external oak door, it is best fitted in a sheltered spot, under a porch or canopy, rather than fully exposed to driving rain or strong sun. Oak is a natural material and can move a little as it settles in; the occasional minor adjustment is a normal part of looking after a solid oak door. Oak Weather Bar We also supply an Oak Weather Bar to match, which will be needed if the door is open to the elements. Although supplied prefinished, this door should be re-coated roughly every six months with a suitable external treatment such as the Impranol range, and kept dry through the use of a canopy or similar.
