If the profile and U-channel fit are correct but the fin is slightly too long, the soft fin can be carefully trimmed with a small pair of scissors. As a practical guide, the fin only needs to extend around 3–5mm beyond the actual gap. This gives enough extra length to make contact without leaving unnecessary material dragging against the tray or threshold. Trim only the soft fin, a little at a time. Do not cut into the U-channel.
