Identity Longines Evidenza in steel and diamonds, Ref. L2.155.0, circa 2020. Quartz movement. Barrel-shaped steel case, 26 x 31 mm, with diamond-set flanks and a crown bearing the name and logo monogram. Silver dial, black painted Roman numerals, minute track, date window at 6 o'clock. Sapphire crystal. Leather strap with original double-fold steel deployment clasp, signed Longines. Horological context Founded in 1832 in Saint-Imier by Auguste Agassiz, the house takes its name from the location where his nephew Ernest Francillon built his first factory in 1867: Les Longines, the long meadows. Francillon commits it to industrial production. The winged hourglass, registered in 1889, is the oldest trademark still in use in its original form in the WIPO register. Longines designs its first barrel-shaped case in 1911. The Evidenza, in the catalogue since 2003, adopts its domed shape and draws inspiration from the mid-1920s, at the dawn of Art Deco, right down to the dial cut to match the case. Personality The bezel remains polished and bare: the short setting is horn to horn, on the flanks only. The Roman numerals tilt to follow the curve of the barrel, straight at noon and six o'clock, lying down in the corners. The leather strap presented here is original and can be replaced upon request. Serviced watch. Very good condition. Delivered with its box and the 24-month Contre-Temps warranty certificate.
