Founder's Reserve single malt whisky, batch 13

Founder's Reserve single malt whisky, 62% ABV, Batch 13. This is our biggest, boldest and only cask strength whisky, matured in our highest quality ex-Tawny Port casks on the edge of the ocean and bottled at 62% ABV. Only 663 bottles in the entire release. Each new release of Founder's Reserve whisky will have slight differences due to the change in barrels over time. Notes of sultana, orange and sticky date pudding on the palate with a hint of chocolate and waffle cone and a long, gooey salted caramel finish. Yum. Why this is Co-founder's Bec's favourite: "Owning & running a distillery day to day, we’re regularly drinking whisky and tasting samples but when I’m drinking whisky just for pure enjoyment, I want something that packs a flavour punch and that really lingers on.. "I love fortified matured whisky so for me, it’s our cask strength ex-Tawny Port matured whisky, our Founder’s Reserve. "Unlike a lot of cask strength whiskies, you're getting so much flavour up front and then you get that hit of alcohol at the back, rather than the other way around. Bottle #01 of batch 01 of our Founder's Reserve was auctioned off for $4800, with all proceeds going to the Great Southern Reef Foundation.
