African Marigold (Sondesh Orange) Seeds

African Marigold Sondesh Orange is an annual flowering plant native to Mexico & Central America, producing rich orange blooms across a growing height of 60–90 cm. Upright and bushy by nature, it flowers during Winter, Spring & Summer. The blooms carry a mild characteristic fragrance and are widely grown for flower beds, border planting, balcony pots, temple decoration, garlands and terrace gardens. This pack contains 50 open-pollinated seeds delivering 85–95% germination under ideal conditions. Beginner-friendly and low maintenance, these seeds are suited to Indian terrace gardens, balcony containers, home garden beds and pots. For best results, pair with Organic Potting Soil Mix and feed with NPK Liquid Fertilizer once seedlings are established. Key Benefits: Produces vibrant orange blooms in Winter, Spring and Summer. Attracts butterflies and bees, supporting garden biodiversity and natural pollination. Suitable for cut flowers, garlands and home decoration. Grows well in pots and containers for terrace and balcony gardens. Moderate to good drought tolerance helps reduce watering frequency. Who Should Buy This? Perfect for balcony gardeners, terrace garden owners, home gardeners, container gardeners, beginners, low-maintenance garden lovers and pollinator garden enthusiasts. Gardener Tip: Overwatering is a common reason African Marigold seedlings fail in Indian home gardens. Water only when the top inch of soil feels dry, and always use a container with proper drainage holes. How to Sow: Sow during July–November in a seed tray or by direct sowing. Sow seeds 0.5 cm deep in moist, well-drained soil and keep them warm and evenly moist for quick germination. Use well-drained garden soil, potting mix, cocopeat mix or sandy loam with good drainage. Transplant healthy seedlings after 3–4 weeks. Give full sunlight, regular watering and remove spent flowers for continuous blooming. Feed with a balanced organic fertilizer once established. Avoid waterlogging.
