Signed 1932 Still Life with Apples by J. Roth

A beautifully moody early 20th-century still life, signed J. Roth and dated 1932, depicting a tabletop arrangement of apples, a dark pitcher and a casually draped red-and-white cloth. The composition has that wonderfully grounded, domestic quality typical of interwar European still lifes—simple everyday objects elevated through color, light and texture.
