Symphoricarpos x chenaultii 'Hancock'

A very hardy hybrid between Symphoricarpos orbiculatus and the Mexican species S. microphyllus, this particular selection was made in1940 by Hancock Nurseries in Canada. It is a low spreading deciduous shrub with rooting branches and small ovate leaves and tiny white flowers in late summer, followed by pink and white fruit. Extremely cold hardy and with its ground-hugging habit, it makes a great cover on difficult sites
