Setzer Grüner Veltliner 2024 - 1L (Liter)
Region: Weinviertel, Lower Austria, Austria Grape(s): Grüner Veltliner Winemaker: Hans Setzer Farming: certified sustainable The Setzer winery was founded in 1705 and remains one of the oldest continuously run estates in the Weinviertel. Today, the estate is run by Hans Setzer and his wife Ulli, alongside their two children Marie-Theres and Euge. The Setzer’s have implemented sustainable vineyard practices, eschewing the use of chemical fertilizers and herbicides. Their vineyards benefit from a significantly higher than average altitude compared to the Kamptal and Wagram. This attention to viticulture and place shines in their wines. This Gruner has complexity that is rarely found at this price point. White pepper and a slight spice sing on the palate with notes of quince, granny smith apple, and minerality that keeps you coming back for more. Pairings: Fromager d'Affinois - brie's cooler, creamier big brother
