This classic Danish round teak expandable table was made in the 1960s. This piece exemplifies the craftsmanship and functional characteristics of Scandinavian modern design. The table size without extensions is 72 cm in height and 120 cm in diameter. It features two additional leaves, one with an apron. The tabletop with a teak veneer exposes beautiful teak grain in all parts and stands on solid teak legs. The table extends to 176 cm with one leaf or 232 cm with both. One leaf is in a slightly different veneer. In smaller Danish homes from the mid-20th century, there was not so much space, and it seems like the tables were rarely open. Slender tapered legs of solid teak and a thick rounded decorative strip around the countertop emphasize the best days of Danish carpentry while adding elegance and chic to the whole. The extended table creates a beautiful oval shape and can provide a comfortable seat for 6-8 guests. The table has been renovated. Old layers of finish have been removed, and we applied several layers of satin lacquer, assuring the same low sheen historical look. We leave minor, natural signs of use that do not spoil the aesthetic and only confirm its originality. The legs are detachable for shipping. Runners are working smoothly. After renovation it remains in perfect vintage condition. Additional dimensions: width between the legs is 73 cm, height to apron 63 cm.
