Ruby Abyss is a deeply complex Single Malt aged in 100% first-fill vintage Port and Sherry casks, courtesy of our time-honoured partnership with Seppeltsfield Wines, featuring a century-old Australian Port reserve. Finished in masterfully seasoned casks, the nose offers dark fruits and caramelised brown sugar, leading to silky mocha and finishing with brandy snap sweetness fused with delicate Tasmanian peat smoke. Nose: Steeped pears in aged dessert wine, amber raisins, caramelised Demerara sugar, and a whisper of salted macadamia. Taste: Lush plum preserve folded through chocolate sauce, with buttery croissant layers and a drift of earthy peat. Finish: Deep fortified oak warmth lingers through spiced golden treacle, as candied quince and umami leave a velvety depth.
