Plant Sticks & Rock - Original Painting on Paper Plant Sticks & Rock, This potted plant is a violet that we were trying to coax into blooming. I added the sticks and rock the create a more interesting composition. With this painting I also used some chalk pencils, the give the clay pot a real 'clay' feeling with a dry grid to the medium. Daily Challenge: This daily art process involve trying out some new art supplies like gouache and mixed media. I've spent years using acrylic paint.
