This is a perfect body warmer, either a button up v-neck gilet or a round neck Tabard top, great for wearing over t-shirts and layering under jackets for extra cosiness. This is the perfect garment for in-between seasons when you aren't too sure whether to wrap up or keep cool. The pattern size range incudes all sizes from 8-24. The templates include two separate files- one for the Gilet and one for the Tabard Top Front (piece 7). You will only need to print this file if you are making the Tabard top. A separate file with step by step instructions can be viewed on your devise or also downloaded and printed off on to A4 paper. Skill level: Easy (previous experience attaching binding and making buttonholes is an advantage, alternatively I advise practising on a scrap of fabric beforehand). This gilet is suitable to be made up in cuddly knitted Boucle or 'Poodle' fabrics, Teddy Sherpa fleece or Curly sheep fabrics*, alternatively woven fabrics are also suitable with or without a lining. If using a woven fabric aim for a slightly heavier weight and a double sided fabric is preferable. I recommend using bought binding when using woven fabric, with stretch fabrics its best to use self-made binding cut across the horizontal width of the fabric. All instructions are included in the pattern. * a walking foot machine attachment may be required when using thicker pile fabrics.
